In December of 2013, Ben Cawiezell headed a commercial campaign that screened on two different jumbo trons in Times Square, on Time Warner Cable, bars & restaurants, hotels, gyms, inside taxi cabs, concert halls, the Fuerza Bruta website, and throughout social media. Ben produced and video edited 15 second, 30 second and 1 minute spots for broadcast.
Fuerza Bruta is a postmodern theatre show and company that originated in Buenos Aires in 2005 and was created by Diqui James. They were co-creators of a previous company called De La Guarda, which presented a similar show named Villa Villa. It is an energetic spectacle under the motto Brute Force, with interaction between performers and public, and is described as a 360 degree interactive experience.
The show has been running downtown, Off-Broadway in New York at the Daryl Roth Theater since 2007. The New York cast has been expanded to 16 people, and more than half a million people have seen the show.
In the Spring of 2014 Fuerza Bruta morphed into Fuerza Bruta Wayra, the latest incarnation. Ben produced and edited new spots, with footage from the London, Argentinian Wayra shows, along with New York footage in anticipation of what the revamped show Fuerza Bruta Wayra NYC would look like. These commercials again ran on the platforms such as Times Square Billboards, taxi cabs, Time Warner Cable Channels, social media, etc.
